Size Help

Category: Size Help

We make each of our beds in three sizes, small, medium and large.

The most important size to consider is the mattress size as this is the area your pet will stretch out or curl up in. Our sizes are listed below:

Small 50 x 60cm
Medium 60x70cm
Large 70 x 90cm

The best way to check you are getting the right size for your pet is to wait until they are napping in their usual position (curled up, tummy up, stretched out like superman) and measure them from top to tail. This is the best indication of the model size you need.

If you still aren’t quite sure, see our size guide page.

Our dog collars come in 3 sizes: small, medium and large.

Each of these sizes is adjustable allowing them to be adjusted to perfectly fit your pets neck.

The best way to ensure the correct fit is to measure around your dogs neck with a measuring tape. We recommend buying with the future in mind, selecting a size that fits now and will continue to fit as your dog grows. If you still aren’t quite sure, see our size guide page.

We are very proud of our unique dog mattress built from layers of natural fibres and recycled plastic.

Petlok Core. At the bottom of our mattress is a bouncy base made from Petlok. This is a unique material made from recycled plastic, woven to make a spring like feeling without dangerous metals.

Coir Support Layer. In the middle of our mattress is Cocolok Coir made from coconut husks. Known for its excellent thermal properties, this material will keep your pet warm in the winter and cool in summer, all while making use of a wasted resource.

Cotton or Wool Comfort Layer – you decide.

Cotton is used to finish our orthopaedic, firm mattress. This helps to relieve the pain in old, aching joints by spreading weight evenly across the whole mattress.

Our wool topper offers a softer finish with more bounce, giving a weightless feeling helping to let your pet drift off to sleep easily.

These unique combination of materials creates a durable, sustainable, and comfortable mattress so good you may want one for yourself. If you would like to learn more about these materials, please see our mattress information page.

Petlok is a unique material made from recycled plastics. Plastic is made into strings and woven to give a sprung feeling. This helps air to flow through the material preventing damp, bacterial from building up, giving a fresh feeling to the material.

Coir is made from coconut husks, the outside fluffy section of coconuts. The water and “meat” of coconuts is normally eaten, however the husks are normally discarded and left to landfill. Making use of this natural resource, the hairs are rubberised to create a sheet material known for its excellent thermal properties. Coir is commonly used for upholstery and mattress making it perfect for your dog to rest on.

We combine refined materials, design and construction to provide superb quality products. This is rooted in our motto, “Made Better.”

Construction – We use the same materials and manufacturing methods to make our pet beds as you would expect for human products. Strong, sturdy wooden bases and personal attention to detail are combined to ensure your bed is Made Better than anything else you would find on the high street.

Comfort – Many pet mattresses are made from simple foam or cushion stuffing, meaning they bunch, flatten and lose their bouncy quickly. Our specialist mattresses are made to last longer and perform better. By combining unique materials, we have created a comfortable and durable mattress to help your pet drift off.

Durability – Pets can dig, scratch and rip open toys, cushions and beds easily. We have taken steps to prevent this, by selecting materials with high Martindale Scores. This means they have been specially designed for heavy use, and are extremely difficult to scratch, tear or tip. From the inside frame to the outside fabrics, our beds are Made Better than other. They are designed to last.

Style – When designing our pet beds we realised that most pet beds look the same, a drab, soft cushion that sits in the corner of your living room building up dust and dog hair. Each of our beds is designed with a different lifestyle and interior scheme in mind. Your dog needs a place to rest, so why not buy a bed that suits your home and reflects your style.

Focusing on longevity all of our products are made by hand from start to finish. Our materials are all carefully selected not only for their appearance, but also for their performance, with scratch resistance, cleanliness and durability at the forefront of our choices. For more information about our materials and building process please take a look at our Design section detailing information about the design of our beds, mattresses and materials.
