Everyone loves a Halloween party, but why should our furry friends be left out? We have put together an apple crumble style pupcake for you to whip up, so your dog can join in the party!
All ingredients are dog safe, however always check the specific make you have at home for nasty ingredients that might upset your dog. And remember, when you eat too many Halloween snacks, you get a tummy ache. Our dogs are no different. Although they love these cakes, they should be eaten in moderation.
Makes 12 Muffins
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups of Water
- ¼ Cup Peanut Butter
- 4 tbsp Honey
- 4 Cups Whole Flour
- 1 tbsp Baking Powder
- 1 Cup Chopped Apples
- ¼ Cup Corn Flour
- Dog Biscuits
Method
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Mix water, peanut butter and honey in a large mixing bowl.
- Mix in the wheat flour and baking powder.
- Fold in chopped apples.
- Spoon into a greased muffin tin.
- Bake for 35 mins.
- Crush biscuit to crumble.
- Mix equal parts corn flour and water, with a dash of honey.
- Spread icing over cold cakes and sprinkle on biscuits.
Top Tips
You will know the cakes care cooked when they sound hollow when you pad their bottoms.
Serve in moderation. As mentioned, you eat too many snacks, you get a tummy ache. Our dogs ae the same. If they’re anything like Molly, they will want to gobble the whole lot, but its best to serve one a day max.
Sore in an airtight container. Like our own homemade cakes, they’ll keep safely for 5 days in an airtight container.
